When several teeth are gone in the same area, the planning question is how many implants are needed to support the teeth being replaced, and where in the arch they should sit. That is a bone and bite question, and it is answered from a scan. It is also the reason quotes for multiple teeth diverge so widely — different plans use different numbers of implants and different restorations on top.
Because the plans differ, this is a situation where a second opinion is genuinely useful, and asking for one is not an insult to the first office. What you want from each consultation is the same thing written down: how many implants, what goes on top of them, what has to happen first, and what the sequence looks like across the calendar. Then you are comparing plans instead of comparing figures.
